What Is Non Woven Polypropylene

In the production of non-woven fabric, people often use polypropylene (PP) as the raw material. And polypropylene (PP) is divided into new granular material, powder material, recycled material and calcium powder. The use of different raw materials to produce non-woven fabrics affects the price. Then, what is polypropylene (PP)? What is the difference among new granular materials, powder materials, recycled materials and calcium added powder.

PP (polypropylene), called “聚丙烯” in Chinese, is a kind of polymer which is polymerized by propylene monomer through free radical. It has the shape of non-toxic, odorless, and tasteless milky white high crystal. It belongs to crystalline material. At present, there are many kinds of polypropylene resin produced in China, such as flat grade polypropylene, biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) resin, injection grade polypropylene and ethylene propylene polypropylene.

Characteristics of non-woven polypropylene (PP)

Polypropylene resin has the lowest density of general plastics, with good mechanical properties, rigidity and wear resistance, and high hardness; it has good heat resistance, but poor cold resistance; it has good chemical stability, not absorbing water, but is not resistant to sunlight, with poor thermal stability; it's flammable, diffusing petroleum smell when burnt; it has good electrical insulation, voltage resistance and transparent film, but poor air and water vapor permeability; it is good for forming film, silk and other products, but poor in dyeing, printing and adhesion.

Application of polypropylene (PP) plastic products

1. Film. It is mainly used for packaging of various food, industrial products, daily necessities and electrical components.

2. Hollow products. It is used to make all kinds of liquid fuel, chemical liquid and daily chemical containers.

3. Injection molding products. It 's used for daily necessities and various mechanical parts.

4. All kinds of pipe, plate and sheet products. It is mainly used for wire, cable sheath and various hot forming grooves.

V. Ribbons and fibers. It is used for packing and bundling goods and all kinds of braided belts for packing.
