Biodegradation Process of Non Woven Fabric

Nonwovens also become nonwoven fabric (name in Taiwan), non-woven fabric (a more formal scientific name). The traditional fabric, whether woven or knitted or other weaving methods, all go through fiber spinning weaving. The process of spinning is not necessary for nonwovens, hence the name.

The main process of non-woven fabric is fiber forming, consolidation and post-treatment. The types of non-woven fabric are mainly classified according to the method of consolidation, mainly including spunbond, spunlace, impregnation, acupuncture, hot rolling, etc.

There are also several kinds of raw materials for non-woven fabric production. At present, there are commonly used ones such as polypropylene (PP), polyester (PET), nylon (PA), viscose fiber, acrylic fiber, ethylene fiber (HDPE), chlorine fiber (PVC), degradable ones such as polylactic acid (PLA), etc. Therefore, the question whether it is degradable is mainly determined by the raw materials used. The formation of non-woven fabric itself is a pure physical process, and the degradability of the materials determines the degradability of the materials produced.

A brief description of the production process of non-woven fabrics and the current production process of PP non-woven fabrics.

The production process includes: feeding → extrusion → spinning → meshing → hot rolling → post-treatment → winding → slitting → packaging

In the post-processing, it has become what we call non-woven fabric, and then it is wound into a large volume of cloth by a winding machine. The subsequent process is to rewind and cut into the small volume of cloth required by the customer according to the customer's demand, and then pack them into large bundles and deliver them to the customer.

Similarly, for diapers, the non-woven fabric we provide is only a small part of them. Diapers are composed of many layers, and the non-woven fabric material we provide is one or several layers.

At present, PP non-woven fabric is made without adding degradable components. If it is naturally degraded, it will be about 50 years.
